Our bed and breakfasts
The Chasteuil Bed and breakfast Inn's five guest rooms are attractive and comfortable. Four of the rooms are located on the ground floor, the fifth room is on the second floor. They all offer a wonderful view of the hamlet rooftops and beyond, the Verdon River. Each sunny bedroom has its own entrance, a private bathroom with shower, table and chairs, bedside reading lights, a closet and electric or central heating. One of the guest rooms has a kitchenette. We provide bedding and bath towels. In your bathroom you will find your sample of les essentiels natural soap made in our own Savonneire with the highest quality ingredients and scented only with pure essential oils. Room Etienne : is named after our California friend, Steve, (Etienne in French) who inspired us to create this room and also after the mountain peak you can see from the room's double glass doors. Chambre Etienne is a bright sunny room with an equipped kitchenette, a double bed, and a daybed. The Stone Room : Pascal left a part of the old schoohouse orginal stone wall exposed when he remodeled this room. Through the dutch door you can see l'allée des tilleuls (linden tree ally) and the Verdon valley beyond. The Stone room has a double bed and a single bed. An extra folding bed may be added (20 € per night). The Ivy Room : Pushing open the heavy, walnut old schoolhouse door, you enter into this sunny room with an ivy theme and a queen size bed. One of Nancy's quilts and grapevine frames decorate the room. Looking through the Ivy room's large window you have a great view of the hamlet roof tops and across the valley; Peak St. Etienne. The Arch Room : A small winding garden path leads you through Pascal's stone arch that is the entrance to this room. The Arch room has California wildflower pictures on the wall from Nancy's origins and a double bed. Outside, below the window, are the schoolhouse's original stone steps that are now a great spot for relaxing, reading or catching up on postcard writing. An extra folding bed may be added (20 € per night). The Upstairs Room : Walk under the elderberry tree and climb up the stone stairs to our most recently built guest room: The Room Upstairs. This comfy room the colour of pale ochre with its wood doors of origin has two single beds with soft, cosy quilts. The sunny southern view through the large window is over our hamlet and the Verdon Valley. To the east you can see les Cadières de brandis, the stunning rock formation. Behind the sliding door, four steps take you to the private bathroom with a large shower. An extra folding bed may be added (20 € per night). http://www. Gitedechasteuil.
