1 - La Grange de Julie B&B

General information

We are open all year around - but please contact us ! we do sometimes leave also. Our bedrooms are all non-smoking. The common rooms are not, but smokers are very well-behaved and the garden is large, so if you do not tolerate tobacco, just say so. We accept pets for a 5 euros/night surcharge, but only in the rooms with direct access to the garden, so please contact us well beforehand. [+]

Lathuile is just above the South end of the Lac d'Annecy- the purest lake in Europe -, with Annecy at the other end, 15 km away. The lake (known as the silver lake), Annecy (the Venice of the Alps) and all the villages surrounding it are one of the most beautiful and charming alpine settings you will find. From Annecy, take the direction Faverges/Albertville by R. N. 508 (the lake is on your left side). When you get right at the other end of the lake (called «Bout du Lac» after Duingt and before getting to Doussard), turn right in direction of Lathuile till you get to the roundabout. Turn right again at the roundabout (route de Chevilly), la Grange de Julie is 450 metres (n°450) further on, on your right again. Though only 15 km from Annecy, 1 km from the lake, and close to all cultural activities and sports, la Grange de Julie is quiet and peaceful in its garden, with surrounding views of the mountains: la Tournette, la Col de la Forclaz, le Charbon… The rooms are all different, each one with an ensuite bath, and la Grange de Julie has spacious common rooms, a big open fireplace, a piano upstairs... And all the charm and comfort of a private family home. Sylvie speaks fluent english. [+]

Detailed description

Our five rooms are all different (each with its private ensuite bathroom), and needless to say that the heating, hot water and bathrooms are completely up to modern standards! We also offer a family room for four people. The house is furnished with a mixture of family heirlooms, books, toys old and new, colorful bedspreads and hand-embroidered cushions, books everywhere (mostly in English!), a piano... Almost everything has a funny story to it, and is meant to be used and enjoyed. Breakfast is... [+]

Comfort - Services

All our rooms have a private ensuite bathroom. Large common rooms for everyone to share, a lot of books (at least half of them are in English !), a great open fire-place, a piano... The garden surrounds the house and it is very quiet. If needed... Sylvie learned English from her mother and French from her father, and so can always help you not get lost in translation ! New this year : internet access by wifi... And two kittens. [+]

4 - the children's room

Natural

Annecy is at the north end of the Lake, and our house just above the south end. We can't see the Lake from our house (even though it is only 1 km away) : it is hidden by the trees. What you will see from here, above the trees, are the surrounding mountains. Our house is in a garden in a village, very quiet - but very close to all there is to do ! [+]
