WelcomeAn invitation to the art of living in Touraine In few words, charm, history, culture, wine, classical music, gastronomy and nature symbolise the Loire Valley and the Chancellerie illustrates this perfectly: On the Edge of the village of Huismes near Chinon, in the middle of the natural regional park Loire Anjou Touraine, on the circuit of la Loire à vélo (brand for Loire bike tours), in an ancient manor called "La Chancellerie" built in the xvth, xvIth and xviiith centuries, The Chancellerie is a B&B welcoming either tourists or musicians willing to spend several days to rest, to visit castles, or practice, rehearse, teach compose, record music in professional conditions. All will find here a warm welcome, very comfortable rooms, a quiete and lovely domain, a peaceful park and a large heated pool, 2 cottages equiped with kitchen, to let you or your group cook in order to be independant, or the owners can cook for you, depending on your reservation settings. The Chancellerie may be privatised for groups up to 24 persons. one of the self caterings enables seated meals up to 30 persons. We speak French, English German and Italian. We cook for our guests on demand, We sell wine as a cavist, we rent bikes, canoes and music rooms. The "Barn " is equiped with two grand pianos, the "orangery" with one single. The tourists practicing music have access to the pianos/ rooms, for a small financial contribution. In summer, public or private concerts can take place in the yard surrounded by high stone walls for a surprisingly good acoustics outdoor; they can be followed by garden parties in the park to meet with the public. In automn and winter, private concerts are organised for tourists and local music fans in the barn, one concert by month on a saturday evening, from november to may, This is a pleasant occasion to meet with artists during a week end. Furthermore, we organise also week ends dedicated to relaxation, pilates, shiatsu massages by graduate coaches, or conferences on musicology, or philosophy, with First ranking speakers specialised in these domains. |                  |
