Welcome
The exoticism of glamping, the beauty of the Brittany coast: on the banks of the Laïta, escape has all faces.
Between Lorient and Concarneau, the Laïta river separates Morbihan and Finistère. Not far away, between moor and forest, Anne and Thierry have installed a gypsy caravan and Mongolian yurts on the domain of an old farm.
The woodwork of the caravan, its varnished furniture evoke the warm intimacy of the sailors' cabins or the closed beds typical of the region. Only the sound of the wind will rock the occupants of this naturally isolated habitat with hemp wool.
A few meters away, another shelter, another atmosphere: the decor of the yurts is inspired by the shimmering patterns of Mongolian art. Close the door: you are transported far from the Brittany plain.
But outside, the landscape conceals other beauties. In summer, the Laïta can be climbed by kayak, according to the rhythm of the tide: the old Cistercian abbey which nests in the cove of Saint-Maurice is a perfect place for a stopover. Families go for a swim on Pouldu Beach. A little further on, strollers cheerfully shout across the shores of the charming port of Doëlan. Galettes or shellfish, they will be able to settle down for a meal in one of the many small restaurants in the region before resuming their walk along the customs path: they will witness, revitalized by the sea wind, the endless marriage of sea spray and heathland. | |
